Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – has once again reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving academic quality. In recognition of the achievements of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program (PTO) and the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) in obtaining Excellent Accreditation, UMPWR presented rewards totaling IDR 40 million.
The rewards were presented during an event held in the UMPWR Main Meeting Room on Friday (July 17, 2026). The event was attended by members of the university leadership, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), and representatives of the PTO and PBSI Study Programs.
Of the total reward, each of the PTO and PBSI Study Programs received IDR 15 million. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) and the UMPWR Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) each received IDR 5 million.
The Excellent Accreditation awarded to the PTO Study Program was established through Accreditation Certificate No. 1214/SK/LAMDIK/AK/S/VI/2026, issued by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK) on June 30, 2026. Meanwhile, the PBSI Study Program received Excellent Accreditation based on LAMDIK Decree No. 1264/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/VII/2026, dated July 8, 2026.
In his remarks, UMPWR Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the PTO and PBSI Study Programs for the achievement. He stated that the rewards represented the university’s appreciation for the hard work and contributions of various parties in supporting the continuous improvement of study program quality.
“Congratulations and our appreciation to PTO and PBSI. We hope that the rewards will be used wisely and serve as motivation to continue improving the quality of both PTO and PBSI,” said the Rector.

Representing the PTO Study Program, Dr. Arif Susanto, M.Pd., expressed his gratitude for the support, motivation, and assistance provided by the entire UMPWR academic community, which contributed to PTO’s achievement of Excellent Accreditation.
He emphasized that the achievement does not mark the end of the quality improvement process. In his view, maintaining an Excellent Accreditation status presents an equally significant challenge.
“Maintaining an achievement is more difficult than obtaining it. Therefore, this Excellent Accreditation must serve as motivation to continue improving quality. This achievement will also certainly support UMPWR’s efforts to achieve Excellent Institutional Accreditation this year,” he said.
A similar appreciation was expressed by the Head of the PBSI Study Program, Dr. Umi Faizah, M.Pd. She conveyed her gratitude for the support and motivation provided by the entire UMPWR academic community throughout the process of achieving Excellent Accreditation.
According to her, the reward from the university serves not only as recognition but also as encouragement for PBSI to continue developing.
“This reward serves as motivation for PBSI and other study programs to continue improving quality and making the best possible contribution to UMPWR,” she said.
The achievement of Excellent Accreditation by PTO and PBSI within a relatively short period is part of UMPWR’s commitment to strengthening its quality culture and improving the quality of education. Beyond being a source of pride for each study program, the achievement is also expected to motivate other study programs and further strengthen UMPWR’s efforts to achieve its target of Excellent Institutional Accreditation.
