PURWOREJO – Another proud achievement has been attained by Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR). The Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) has officially received the “Excellent” Accreditation based on the Decree of the Independent Accreditation Agency for Education (LAMDIK) Number 1264/SK/LAMDIK/Ak/S/VII/2026. The accreditation is valid for five years, from June 4, 2026 to June 3, 2031.
This achievement marks an important milestone for the PBSI Study Program in strengthening its commitment to delivering higher education that is excellent, adaptive, and oriented toward continuous quality improvement. The “Excellent” Accreditation serves as national recognition of the study program’s quality in governance, learning processes, human resources, research, community service, and graduate outcomes that meet the highest standards.
The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation to all members of the academic community whose hard work contributed to this accomplishment.
“Excellent Accreditation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of an even greater commitment to continuously improve quality. This achievement is the result of collaboration, dedication, and commitment from the entire UMPWR academic community, especially the PBSI FKIP family. We hope this accomplishment will further strengthen public trust in UMPWR as a university that consistently provides quality education and creates meaningful impact for the nation.”
In line with the Rector’s statement, the Head of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Dr. Umi Faizah, M.Pd., expressed gratitude for the achievement and reaffirmed the study program’s commitment to continuous innovation.
“Alhamdulillah, the Excellent Accreditation is the result of the collective efforts of lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, partners, and the full support of the university leadership. This recognition motivates us to further enhance the quality of teaching, research, and community service, while producing graduates who are professional, possess strong character, and are capable of making meaningful contributions to education and society.”
This accomplishment further strengthens UMPWR’s position as a university that consistently develops a culture of quality across all study programs. With the Excellent Accreditation achieved by the PBSI Study Program, UMPWR is increasingly optimistic about producing graduates who are competent, innovative, and well-prepared to face the challenges of the professional world and the advancement of science and technology.
Moving forward, the PBSI Study Program at UMPWR is committed to continuing the development of innovation-based education, expanding collaborative networks, and enhancing the quality of the university’s tridharma (education, research, and community service) as a tangible contribution to the advancement of education in Indonesia.
