Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of public relations management and institutional cooperation through active participation in the preparatory mentoring program for the 2026 Diktisaintek Public Relations Award (AHD) and Diktisaintek Cooperation Award (AKD), organized by LLDIKTI Region VI in Semarang.
The event, which took place on June 24, 2026, at Building A of the LLDIKTI Region VI Office, was attended by representatives from the public relations and cooperation departments of various private universities in Central Java. UMPWR sent a team from its Public Relations and Cooperation departments to participate in the mentoring program, which aimed to enhance the universities’ opportunities and competitiveness in the 2026 national awards: the Diktisaintek Public Relations Award and the Diktisaintek Cooperation Award.
During the event, participants received technical guidance on document drafting strategies, strengthening best practices, and meeting the evaluation criteria—all of which are key aspects of the AHD and AKD competitions. The mentoring sessions also served as a forum for universities to share experiences and engage in discussions on developing innovative public communication strategies and impactful institutional collaboration.
UMPWR’s participation in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of public information services, strengthen the institution’s image, and expand its network of cooperation with various strategic partners at the national and international levels. By strengthening human resource capacity in the areas of public relations and cooperation, UMPWR is confident that it can deliver more innovative programs and provide broader benefits to the academic community and the public.
The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo, Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the UMPWR team’s participation in the event.
"The participation of the UMPWR Public Relations and Cooperation team in assisting AHD and AKD is a strategic step toward improving the quality of institutional governance. Through this activity, we have gained insights and best practices that can be applied to strengthen the dissemination of the university’s achievements and develop more productive and sustainable collaborations. We hope that UMPWR can become even more competitive at the national level and make a greater contribution to the world of higher education," he said.
Through its participation in this mentoring program, UMPWR reaffirms its commitment to continuing to innovate, enhancing the institution’s reputation, and strengthening synergies with various stakeholders to support the achievement of the university’s vision as a leading, progressive, and globally competitive institution of higher education.
