Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR) – The Automotive Engineering Education Study Program (PTO) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR), underwent the LAMDIK Accreditation Site Assessment on Wednesday–Thursday, June 10–11, 2026. The assessment is part of the academic quality evaluation process conducted by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Education (LAMDIK) to ensure that educational implementation meets the National Standards for Higher Education.
The site assessment was conducted by two LAMDIK assessors, namely Dr. Mochamad Cholik, M.Pd. from Surabaya State University and Dr. Ir. Yasdin, S.Pd., M.Pd., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng. from Makassar State University. Over the two-day assessment, the assessors verified and validated various documents and supporting evidence related to study program governance, learning quality, research, community service, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the outcomes of the university's tridharma activities.
The assessment began with an opening session attended by university leaders, the Daily Governing Board (BPH), faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and graduate employer partners. The presence of all stakeholders reflected a shared commitment to continuously improving quality and advancing the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program.

The Chairman of UMPWR's Daily Governing Board (BPH), Drs. Hamidi, M.Pd., stated that the site assessment serves not only as an evaluation process but also as an opportunity to demonstrate the quality and contribution of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program in producing competent graduates with strong character.
“We hope that the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program will achieve the EXCELLENT Accreditation status. Such an achievement would not only be a source of pride for the study program and faculty but would also strengthen UMPWR's efforts to realize its vision as an excellent, progressive, and impactful higher education institution,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UMPWR, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teguh Wibowo, M.Pd., emphasized that accreditation is a strategic instrument for ensuring educational quality and enhancing public trust in the institution.
“We are optimistic that the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program can demonstrate the various achievements and innovations it has accomplished over the years. We hope that PTO will obtain the EXCELLENT Accreditation rating, thereby further strengthening UMPWR's academic quality portfolio. This achievement will make a significant contribution to supporting Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo's goal of attaining EXCELLENT Institutional Accreditation,” he remarked.
He further added that achieving excellent accreditation would reinforce UMPWR's position in producing graduates who are adaptable to technological advancements, workforce demands, and global challenges in vocational and automotive engineering education.
The entire academic community hopes that the assessment process will proceed smoothly and yield the best possible results for the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program, enabling it to make an even greater contribution to improving the quality of higher education and supporting the achievement of EXCELLENT Institutional Accreditation this year.
