Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMPWR), through its Scout Student Activity Unit (UKM Pramuka), organized the Basic Scout Leadership Training (LDK-P) 2026 on Saturday–Sunday, June 6–7, 2026, at the East Campus Seminar Room of UMPWR. The event was attended by Scout Unit members from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts and aimed to develop leadership qualities while equipping participants with scouting knowledge to become the “CERIA” generation: Intelligent, Energetic, Religious, Inspirational, and Altruistic.
Throughout the two-day program, participants engaged in a series of activities designed to improve organizational skills, communication, discipline, and teamwork. Participants received material on organizational management delivered by Dedi Runanto as well as scouting administration material presented by Eko Teguh.
During his session, Dedi Runanto explained that organizational involvement provides many benefits in shaping students’ mindsets and experiences.
“Organizations provide many valuable outcomes, helping shape broader ways of thinking and enriching experiences,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Eko Teguh emphasized the importance of administration in maintaining the sustainability of scouting organizations.
“The completeness of an organization is not only determined by management. Administration is also an important aspect to learn in order to implement scouting administration in accordance with scouting regulations,” he explained.

The materials were delivered interactively through group discussions, organizational dynamics activities, and Brainly Time sessions involving concept map creation. The discussion results were later presented by each group as a form of communication practice and teamwork strengthening among participants.
Participants were also introduced to the various divisions within the Scout Student Activity Unit to provide insight into the roles and contributions they could make within the organization. The activities also included various assignments aimed at developing participants’ critical thinking skills and sense of responsibility.
Through LDK-P 2026, the UMPWR Scout Student Activity Unit hopes that all participants will become organizational cadres who not only possess leadership abilities, but also demonstrate discipline, resilience, and the ability to contribute positively to both the organization and society.
